This Refund Policy applies to all paid registrations, workshops, programmes, and events organised by Mysore Quantum AI (“MQA”). Most MQA events and resources are offered free of charge as part of our community mission. Where a fee is charged, this policy governs cancellations and refunds in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and other applicable Indian laws.
1. Free Events
The majority of MQA events — including community meetups, talks, and introductory workshops — are offered at no cost. No payment is collected for free events, and therefore no refund process applies to them. Cancellation of a free registration can be done at any time by contacting us.
2. Paid Events and Programmes
Where MQA charges a registration or participation fee for specialised workshops, bootcamps, or certification programmes, the following refund schedule applies:
| Cancellation Notice | Refund Amount |
|---|---|
| More than 14 days before the event | 100% refund |
| 7 to 14 days before the event | 50% refund |
| Less than 7 days before the event | No refund |
| No-show (without prior notice) | No refund |
3. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please:
- Send an email to us with the subject line “Refund Request — [Event Name]”.
- Include your full name, registered email address, and payment transaction reference number.
- State the reason for your cancellation request.
Refund requests must be submitted before the applicable deadline as described in Section 2. Requests received after the deadline will not be eligible for a refund.
4. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days from the date of approval. Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used at the time of registration. MQA is not responsible for delays caused by payment gateway or banking partners.
Any transaction charges levied by payment gateways at the time of purchase are non-refundable and will be deducted from the refund amount.
5. Event Cancellation or Rescheduling by MQA
In the unlikely event that MQA cancels an event, all registered participants will receive a full refund of their registration fee within 7–10 business days.
If MQA reschedules an event, participants who cannot attend the rescheduled date may request a full refund within 5 business days of the rescheduling announcement. Participants who do not request a refund within this window are deemed to have accepted the new date.
6. Transfers and Substitutions
If you are unable to attend a paid event, you may transfer your registration to another eligible individual at no additional charge, provided you notify MQA at least 48 hours before the event with the substitute's full name and contact details.
7. Exceptions
Refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:
- Participant is removed from an event due to violation of MQA's Code of Conduct.
- Registration fee was offered under a discounted or sponsored rate specifically marked as non-refundable.
- Digital content (e.g., recordings, resource packs) that has already been accessed or downloaded.
8. Consumer Rights under Indian Law
This policy is consistent with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. If you believe your refund request has been unfairly denied, you have the right to escalate your complaint to the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in Mysuru, Karnataka.
